Artist Bio
Viktoriia Sukhanova is a Ukrainian artist who found a new home in Birmingham with her three rescue cats after fleeing the war. A graduate of the Mykolaiv Art School, she works primarily in oil, creating both realistic and surrealistic paintings inspired by her feline companions. Her art explores the relationships between humans, animals, and the landscapes they share.
Viktoriia’s work was recently featured in the Birmingham Light Exhibition 2025. Her work is warm and comforting providing much needed solace in difficult times.
She is currently working on a nostalgic series that captures the small, cherished moments she misses from her homeland.
